Weight Loss Diet

Having difficulty maintaining your weight loss diet? Most people do. Some tips will help you in this effort. Exercise is very useful for minimizing the 'plateau' effect of dieting, which occurs within a few weeks of starting a diet, as the body 'adjusts' to a lower calorie-intake.

It's always wise to check with your doctor's before starting any kind of exercise program. Begin by making an exercise plan. Create a realistic plan. Plan the time and place that will be most convenient for you to exercise and you will be more likely to follow through. Use a diary to record the details. This momentary effort will show you routinely your progress and make you feel better about yourself.

Adopt a gradual approach. Start out easy with a brisk walk each morning or a plan to park further away from the door. Then review your progress after one month. Decide how it is working for you and make slight changes. Add more minutes to your exercise routine gradually. Find an exercise buddy. This will greatly reduce your list of excuses of why you can’t exercise today and your buddy will encourage you as well as make the effort more enjoyable. Exercising on your own requires huge self-discipline. Make it easier on yourself by finding a friend or neighbor to exercise with. Join an exercise class that is right for you and you will find an exercise buddy there.

Whatever weight loss diet you choose, exercising regularly will help you loose weight faster and feel more energetic as well.
