Low Carb Diet
Interested in a low carb diet? Many low carb believers think that carbohydrates cause one to produce too much insulin. This excess insulin creates hunger and causes the body to store fat. The idea of going on a low card diet is that this program is designed to reduce hunger and carbohydrate cravings and achieve weight loss by controlling your insulin. Controlling insulin is accomplished by controlling the amount, type and timing of carbohydrates that are consumed during the course of the day.
If you stop to think about it, almost any diet limits the carbohydrates you consume. Weight watchers for instance allows two breads or pastas a day. One piece of bread or toast is considered your bread serving. One packet of two crackers on the salad is also a bread serving. This low carb diet approach is simply reducing calories and most carbohydrates are high in calories.
Any drastic diet which eliminates a balanced diet is likely to be unhealthy. It’s best to eat some meat, protein, low carb veggies and cut out starchy carbs (like cereal bread, pasta, sugar, potatoes, peas, carrots) as well as consume dairy products of some kind. Low fat milk and yogurts as well as small amounts of cheese and eggs add calcium and necessary nutrients to any diet. A balanced low carb diet will allow you to have more focus, energy, calm mental clarity and stable blood sugars, as well as loose weight in the process.
And don’t forget to exercise. Just a minimal amount of walking, taking the stairs instead of the elevator or parking farther away from the door will help you loose weight faster as well as add to your fitness regime.
