Many women are at a loss when it comes to how to apply eye makeup. But you need not be concerned. It becomes easier with a little advice.
First, set your eyelids with powder if you'll be using powder eye shadow. If you'll be using cremes or pencils, they will glide more easily over a foundation alone without any powder.
Next, you need to choose your colors. To identify colors that work for you, you can actually use your hair as a guide.
Blondes look good in creams and taupes.
Brunettes are often more flattered by mochas and chocolate browns.
If you are auburn or redhead, try coppers, peaches, and reddish browns or cool tones like pink and lavenders.
Gray hair is gorgeous with grays, soft purples, and soft blues.
If your eyes are deeply set, dust the entire eyelid with a light, pale, tone to bring the eyes forward.
if you have narrow set eyes keep the application on the outer edges of the eyes, extending it slightly beyond the outer corners.
If you have wide set eyes, begin the application at the inner corners of the eyes. Try to avoid going past the outer corners.
If you have small eyes, use shimmery tones to bring light to the eyes. Avoid black at all costs. It confines the eyes and looks too severe.
If you have large, you are lucky. You can experiment with deep, warm tones but keep your mascara soft.
